Awards
As part of our landmark anniversary, we will be hosting an awards ceremony to recognise and celebrate unpaid carers throughout our communities. Keep an eye out for more news later this year when nominations will be announced.
Creative competitions
Be in with a chance to win a prize and take part in our Members’ Photography Competition or our Members’ Poetry Competition!
Our two themes the Members’ Photography Competition are ‘All about caring’ and ‘In my community’. You don’t need professional equipment or any training - just use your smart phone camera and snap a photo that represents these themes for you. We can’t wait to see them! The deadline for entries is 31 January.
If you enjoy creative writing, even if you’ve never written a poem before we’d love to read your words. Our theme for this year’s poetry competition is ‘caring, family and community’. The deadline is 20 April 2025 so pick up a pen and get your ideas down!

In honour of our 60th anniversary we are holding some extra special events including our Paws for Carers 60 mile Dog Walk challenge and our exclusive partnership with Hackney Half Marathon. Walk 60 miles in 30 days this April with your pup to support unpaid carers across the UK and earn a free dog bandana for your furry friend!
