On 1 December 2021, the Government published its long awaited White Paper on Adult Social Care: ‘People at the Heart of Care: adult social care reform'.

Carers UK has issued a statement which welcomed the White Paper and some of the long overdue proposals, and the fact that carers are considered to be partners in care. However, we are concerned that the level of baseline funding for the system is still too low.
