Carers NI has responded to the Department of Communities 2024-25 budget Equality Impact Assessment.

We expressed our disappointment at the complete lack of welfare mitigations to support unpaid carers within the budget and urged the Minister to make the delivery of a Carer’s Allowance Recognition Payment a priority area for any additional funding.
