Carers UK’s fifth creative writing competition and second photography competition have once again provided so many perspectives on the diversity of the caring experience. This year, we particularly welcomed poems and stories on theme of ‘keeping well, keeping connected’, while our photography competition captured the realities of caring and carers’ lives away from caring.
We would like to thank our judges, Cheryl Moskowitz (creative writing) and Bella West (photography), for considering all of the entries. We are also thankful to the following organisations for promoting the competition: The Poetry Society, The Reading Agency, The Poetry Library, The Poetry School, Poetry London and The Society of Authors.
The competition has once again been supported by Specsavers, which provides free at-home eye tests for those in care through its home visits service.
