To celebrate our 60th anniversary we are excited to share that Carers UK are a proud charity partner for the event in 2025!
This highly sought-after race is held annually during the Spring, in the vibrant London borough of Hackney.
Did you know that Hackney Half is London's largest half-marathon event? Over 20,000 runners participated in 2024, and general entries for the 2025 event sold out in record time again!
This closed-road race features a flat, fast course that starts and finishes in Hackney Marshes. The route takes you through lively, scenic urban surroundings, including Hackney's historic streets, green spaces, and landmarks such as Hackney Empire, Stonebridge Gardens, Regent’s Canal, and continues through areas like Broadway Market, London Fields and Hackney Wick.
The event is renowned for its post-race festival, featuring food, drinks, and entertainment, allowing runners and spectators to celebrate together in a festive atmosphere.

I found doing regular vlogs/video uploads on my social media page to be the most successful way of fundraising. I started these at the start of my training plan and gave updates every fortnight or so. I tended to use my longer runs for these and headed out to 'fun' local landmarks such as football and sport stadiums."
