Why it matters
Across the UK today 5.8 million people are carers, supporting a loved one who is older, disabled or seriously ill but they often go unrecognised. Dogs, with their boundless energy and unconditional love, provide a source of comfort and companionship. That’s why we’re inviting you and your four-legged friend to take part in our Spring dog walk challenge - Paws for Carers to help raise awareness!
The challenge
In April 2025, walk 60 miles in 30 days with your pup to show solidarity for carers. Whether you do two miles a day or 15 miles a week, you set the pace that suits you and you choose your favourite walking routes.
How your participation helps
Not only will you and your pup enjoy some quality time and fresh air together, but you’ll be making a real difference. By joining this challenge, you’re helping us raise much needed awareness and funds for unpaid carers, ensuring they receive the recognition and support they deserve.

To be eligible to win a goody bag provided by Lily’s Kitchen, participants must:
- register for the Paws for Carers Spring Dog Walk Challenge by 11.59pm Monday 31 March 2025
- actively take part in the challenge by walking with their dog during April.
Participants will be drawn at random from all eligible participants who meet the criteria above.
- Each goody bag will contain a selection of delicious natural recipes and treats for dogs, courtesy of Lily’s Kitchen.
- These are non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.
- A random draw will be conducted fairly, using an online generator ‘Random Name Picker’. All names of eligible participants will be entered and the generator will select names at random.
- Winners will be selected Monday 14 April 2025 and again on Thursday 1 May 2025.
- Winners will be notified by email within seven days of the challenge ending and we will arrange for the goody bags to be sent thereafter.
We will not make details of winners public without permission.
- We reserve the right to verify the eligibility of all participants.
- By taking part, meeting the criteria in order to be eligible, participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
