Creating a contingency plan

We advise all carers to create an emergency plan – for you and all those you look after. Having a plan in place can help ease your worries if you are not able to care for those you look after at any point in the future. We can guide you through the process of creating one through our interactive online tool.

Jointly makes caring easier, less stressful and more organised by making communication and coordination between those who share the care as easy as a text message.

AskSARA – finding equipment

There are so many ‘independent-living’ products and aids available these days that it’s hard to know which ones would be most suitable. The AskSARA tool enables you to search for the type of aids and equipment that would be helpful, providing more independence to those you care for and also saving you valuable time. You will need to select the version most relevant to your needs.

Seeking guidance or support from other carers who have been there?

Our online Carers UK Forum is a great way to hear what other carers think of different ideas or to seek solutions to problems. It also offers the chance for you to 'offload' and get emotional support if your circumstances are becoming particularly tough.
