What's a healthathon?

This is a day devoted to physical health - at Carers UK we have held lots of different activities across the day online to give you the opportunity to dip in and out, understanding that time for yourself is precious.

Stretch all areas of your body and work on balance to help with everyday movement with fitness instructor Gil Cruz.

 

Food for fuel

Freya and Izzy from food charity Food Matters offer tips and guidance
to help you eat well for physical activity, including a quick and easy recipe.

 

Dance fitness

Get moving to pop and disco with a fun and accessible dance session led by Georgia.

 

Tai chi

Enjoy simple movements designed to improve mobility, balance and a general sense of wellbeing with Sandra Shaw.

Warm-up with Mr Motivator

Mr Motivator leads a warm-up session with seated options.

 

Strength and balance

Jack Edgar from Sport for Confidence leads a low-impact strength and balance session.

 

Physical activity motivation and goal setting

Dr Patricia Jackman, Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology, on how to use goals to improve your motivation and physical activity experiences.

 

Bollywood dance

Gita from Step Change Studios gives an introduction to Bollywood dance.

 

Yoga

Isobel Palmer from Lim Studio leads a beginners' session combining elements of yoga and Pilates to help improve flexibility and muscle strength.
