Carers Scotland were delighted to mark our Carers UK's 60th Anniversary an evening event at the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 26th November.
The event, sponsored by Carol Mochan MSP, saw MSPs, unpaid carers and colleagues from organisations which we have worked with over the years coming together to hear about 60 years of achievements and change, as well as what is still needed to improve the lives of carers in Scotland.
Unpaid carers Alison Cram, Marie McWaters and Carolynne Hunter kindly provided videos speaking about their experiences working with Carers Scotland, the improvements that they have seen over the years, and what they think are the priorities for unpaid carers going forward.
The reception event was accompanied by the 60th Anniversary Exhibition inside the Scottish Parliament from Tuesday to Thursday, where ministers and other visitors could learn more about our history and work.
