Getting financial support

Have you recently moved to Scotland?

If you're receiving Carer's Allowance or a disability benefit (or someone you're looking after receives a disability benefit) and have recently moved to Scotland from England, Wales or Northern Ireland, there are a few important things to note.

You'll need to tell the benefit provider your change of address and make a new application to Social Security Scotland for the replacement Scottish disability and carer benefits. Find out more at https://www.mygov.scot/moving-to-scotland
