To recognise 60 years of Carers UK as the carers movement, Carers Wales is holding a postcard art exhibition!
The art will be displayed to highlight what life is really like for carers in Wales.
What is it for?
The postcard art exhibition is to show what life is like for an unpaid carer in Wales. It is tied to the 60th anniversary of Carers UK as a charity.
What should the art represent?
The theme is ‘Who cares?’. Your art might be inspired by your caring experience. Or it may represent how you feel about being an unpaid carer or it could be how you want unpaid care to be in the future.
How do I get involved?
Find a blank postcard, find your inspiration and do some art!
On another piece of paper, include your name, your contact information (email and phone), the name of your postcard and write up to 250 words (if you choose to) on how the art represents your thoughts.
Alternatively, complete SurveyMonkey with this information so we know to expect your image and include your name and the postcard when you send it.
Once you have completed your postcard, send it to:

Please send your completed postcard so that it arrives by Tuesday 30 September 2025.
What can I use to create my postcard?
You can use anything from pencils, to paint, to anything you might stick to the postcard. Your only limitations is that the postcard must be landscape (width longer than height) and A6 (the size of a postcard).
What else should I know?
The full terms and conditions can be found here.
Your postcard will be used as part of a postcard exhibition for Carers Rights Day 2025 as the culmination of Carers UK's 60th anniversary. The exhibition will also be hosted online.
We will auction the postcards to raise money for Carers Wales at the end of the exhibition.
Want some inspiration?
We are holding a series of online art workshops in the run up to the postcard exhibition, to give you the chance to try out different techniques. We’ll send you materials and a blank postcard to decorate before each session.
Whether you are a beginner or a budding artist you are very welcome to join our informal sessions.
- Wednesday 9 April, 1.30-2.30pm: Neurographic art
- Wednesday 30 April, 11am-12pm: Fine liner drawing
- Thursday 8 May, 1.30- 2.30pm: Tangles art
You are welcome to send in your postcard without attending one of the online art workshops, however if you fancy joining one or more of these relaxed sessions we would love to see you there.
